Why Boston Matters
Boston is the birthplace of the American Revolution, a city where the ideals of liberty, equality, and constitutional government helped shape our nation.
Each year, men from across the country gather here for a peaceful, public witness to proclaim that the promise of equal protection under the law belongs to every human being, including our preborn brothers and sisters.
We begin in prayer outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility, then march through the streets of Boston to Boston Common, the oldest public park in the United States. There, at the Rally for Personhood, men, women, children, families, and people of good will gather to exercise our freedoms of speech and assembly while proclaiming a simple but profound truth: every human being is a person deserving the equal protection of the laws from the moment of conception.
There is no more fitting place to proclaim this message than Boston, where our nation’s founding ideals first took root. We gather here to call America to fully embrace its promise that all are created equal by recognizing every preborn child as a person under the law.
